Arborist Reports

Our Tree reports and survey involves a detailed ground-based Visual Tree Assessment (VTA), where we systematically record specific data about each tree. This includes evaluating the tree’s health, structural integrity, and any associated risks. Based on this assessment, we provide tailored management and maintenance recommendations to ensure the well-being and safety of the trees.

All our tree reports are conducted by an Arborist with an AQF Level 5 qualification, ensuring expert analysis and recommendations.

Risk Assessments
Are you a Tree-Keeper? School or Land manager? If so it may be that you require a risk assessment of your trees. At SAS we offer two methods.
QTRA (Quantified Tree Risk Assessment):
-
Focus: Balances the benefits of trees against the risks they might pose and the costs of managing these risks.
-
Process: Evaluates the land-use or target area first to understand the potential consequences if a tree fails. This helps in deciding the level of inspection required for the trees.
-
Outcome: Helps prioritise tree management actions based on the risk assessment, providing a structured approach to managing tree safety.
VALID Risk - Benefit Strategy
-
Focus: Provides a comprehensive visual assessment and produces a concise report for each tree deemed to have an obvious risk feature during a VTA.
-
Process: Evaluates the tree’s condition and risks, and offers management recommendations along with comments from the inspection.
-
Outcome: The single-page report includes a risk rating and recommended actions, which helps in making informed decisions about tree management.
If you’re looking to implement a risk assessment strategy for your trees, using either of these methods can be very effective.
We can provide a structured approach to assessing and managing tree risks, while maintaining the benefits trees provide.
Environmental Arboriculture
Environmental arboriculture is a specialised field focusing on the care and management of trees within an ecosystem to create and promote habitat development within trees for local fauna species. Methods may include fracture pruning, veteransiation, and carving hollow into trees.
